History of Rasarasarani.in

The inception of Rasarasarani.in traces back to the efforts of Mr. Buddhodev Ghosh during his research in Cognitive Studies on Indian Aesthetics at the Cell for Indian Science and Technology in Sanskrit (CISTS), Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Bombay. Under the guidance of Prof. K. Ramasubramanian and co-supervision of Prof. Malhar A. Kulkarni, Ghosh embarked on creating a digital platform named kaavya.com.

However, upon discovering that another IIT Bombay student had developed a comprehensive site on Sanskrit literature, Ghosh and his team—including researchers Anustup Bhattacharya, Tapas Khanra, and Shruti Kanitkar—decided to discontinue the kaavya.com project to avoid redundancy.

But after sometimes recognizing the need for a dedicated platform that thoroughly addresses Indian aesthetics (As, the above stated website seems not covering all the aspect and Texts on the Indian Aesthetics), Ghosh, along with his collaborators, initiated the development of Rasarasarani.in. The project received financial support from Anviksa Insight Pvt. Ltd., with Director Mr. Subhankar Das expressing keen interest in the endeavor.
